The Doctors of Monroe Pediatrics:
Jason M. Citarella, D.O. (Dr.C)
Dr. C, as he is known by his patients and staff, has been with Bridgeport-Monroe Pediatric Group, P.C. since July, 2000. He is a proud graduate of Fairfield University and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. C continued his post medical school training, in 1997, by completing an Internship at St. Clare’s Hospital in New York City. He then went on to graduate from the Pediatric Residency program at Bridgeport Hospital and Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Citarella has been a board certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2000.
Dr. C enjoys all aspects of pediatric care with particular emphasis on developmental and behavioral issues. He is trained in IMPACT testing for children to be used pre and post-concussions to aid with the care of children who have had, or are at risk for, head injuries.
Dr. C was born in the Bronx and grew up in Rockland County, New York. Since 2006 he has made his home in Trumbull with his wife and three children. He enjoys being with his family, swimming and is an avid sports fan - particularly of his beloved Yankees.

Mary J.B. Paramanthan, M.D. (Dr. Para)
Dr. Mary J. B. Paramanathan obtained her medical degree from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. She received a Master of Science from Terre Haute Medical Center, Indiana State University Terre Haute, Indiana. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Board-certified in Pediatrics since 1999. Dr. Para has been with Bridgeport-Monroe Pediatric Group, P.C. since 1999. She sees patients from infancy to college years. She speaks fluent English and Tamil.
